Indications:
- To determine whether symptoms such as chest pain, palpitations, and syncope
- are caused by cardiac arrhythmias
- To evaluate the adequacy of medical therapy for an arrhythmia
- To screen high-risk cardiac patients such as those with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or those who have
- had operations known to predispose to arrhythmias
- To evaluate possible intermittent implanted pacemaker failure
- To determine the effect of sleep on potentially life-threatening arrhythmias
